Kone lift repairs and servicing

For existing Kone lifts in commercial buildings, apartment complexes and homes. Tell us about the lift and we will look for an independent lift company that covers your area.

Kone lift repairs

If a Kone lift is out of service, will not respond to a landing button or has a door fault, include the site suburb and a description of the problem. Note any message on the displays and whether the fault comes and goes. The repair depends on inspection of the equipment fitted.

Kone lift servicing and maintenance

Share the lift details and service records, and say whether you need regular servicing or a single visit. Ask how faults between scheduled visits are handled.

Lifts without a machine room

Many Kone lifts use a machine-room-less design, where the drive sits inside the lift shaft instead of a separate room; Kone sells it as MonoSpace. Mention it if your building has no lift machine room, because it affects how the equipment is reached and serviced.

Moving from a manufacturer service contract

If your Kone maintenance agreement is up for renewal, check its term, notice period and any equipment or software conditions before arranging a change. Support for a particular model and access to parts are confirmed for each lift.

What to include in your enquiry

  • Site suburb and the affected Kone lift
  • Model name, such as MonoSpace, if known
  • What the lift is doing, or the service you need
  • Current maintenance agreement and service records

Common questions

Can an independent company service a Kone lift?

Often, yes. A lift does not have to be maintained by its manufacturer. Support and parts need to be confirmed for your model.

Our lift has no machine room. Can it still be serviced?

Machine-room-less lifts are serviced through the lift shaft and landing equipment. Include the model so access and parts can be checked.
